Bipolar Disorder/new meds

Question
hello- I went to a new pdoc today for the first time in two years.  I have a 10 year history with depression (an eating disorder, cutting and three suicide attempts resulting in stomach pumping and hospitalization) and have been diagnosed with everything from PBD to clinical depression and have been told I am "possibly Biplor".  I had a bad week out of nowhere after alost 2 years of feeling "normal" and decided to get a dr. appt.  Today I went and she prescribed Seroquel and Wellbutrin...she said the Seroquel was to help me sleep but I cant find anything online saying it is used for a sleep aid.  Also, I had an awful exp. with Prozac two years ago and am nervous the same will happen with Wellbutrin?  I explained to her I feel great TODAY and wasnt even going to go to the appt but yet she still gave me meds and suggested I try that for four weeks and then we will discuss seeing her for a FEW talk sessions or seeing a seperate dr.?  To be honest- I dont know what I have or if I should even take the meds?  What has your experience been with seroqueL? Is it used for sleep? Will I still wake up for my 9 mo old baby?  My mg is seroquel 25 mg and wellbutrin 100 mg twice a day....is that too much?
Thank you for listening....

Answer
Hi . . .

Seroquel comes in tablets as small as 25 mg and as large as 300 mg. It is unlikely that 25 mg at bedtime will interfere with your functioning.

100 mg of Wellbutrin is a low dose.

Best regards . . .
