I just wanted to ask that if people with bipolar are capable of taking care of child? Im asking because my ex boyfriend lives with a lady that i have heard she has try to kill her self and do other tjings. My  concern is my son goes with them over night. I just want to know more info and how i could deal with this and yes i want my son to be with his father but I rather not have her near my son with her. Also they took her 2 older children because of the domestic violence that happen. please guide me and inform me. thank you.

Hi . . .

There probably are millions, yes millions, of mothers who have bipolar disorder. The vast majority of them do an excellent job mothering their children. Of course, there are some mothers with bipolar disorder who are not capable of being good mothers.
