Question
first, i am looking for a rehab person. with that out of the way, i have an injured cardinal. the left eye is injured, so he can not fly. i realize it is in shock, so i have put in to the side and knew it would probably die, but after a eve and now the morning, it is still alive. i put feed in the basket. i am not sure if it is eating or not. could you help me until i find someone to help? thank you

Answer
Look for a rehab center, and the sooner the better. You need an experienced person to deal with this. Meanwhile you need to keep the bird warm. If it is eating and drinking on its own, great. If not, feed it boiled egg yolk and white and a little bit of water a little bit at a time until you can get help.
