Birding/Eastern Bluebird at my window.

Question
I have a male Eastern Bluebird beating itself against my bedroom window every spring. For two years years I have ignored him, but this year I decided to embrace him. A little history, I believe he is one of the birds hatched in a shoe box in my bedroom after Hurricane Katrina. My house was damaged, the windows open and the room abandoned that year. A family of "Birds" nested in a shoe box on the bookcase the following spring. I just let them.
He is back. I put a bluebird box next to the window. blueberries and sliced apple on the window ledge, what next? Now that I don't want him to go.

Answer
That is normal spring bird action. He is fighting his reflection. It will go away when the nesting season is over. If it bothers you you can soap the window, cover it with cloth or paper, hang garden netting, put up a screen or hang ribbon, cloth or mylar strips.
