Question
A house finch built a nest in the eves of my home.  She has several babies, but it
appears she has abandoned her nest (she has been gone ~24 hours).  How can I
feed the fledglings?

Answer
If you are sure the female is gone, the best thing to do is contact your local wildlife rehabilitation center or wildlife official for help or advice.  It is VERY difficult to raise young birds if you do not have the experience. You can also go to www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for links to advice.
