Birding/noisy robin

Question
Is there anyway to relocate a very loud robin?  A robin sits less than ten feet away from our bedroom window in our maple tree and starts his morning songs around 5:00am every morning, waking us.  It has been about two weeks now and I would like to nudge him somewhere else before it becomes "open window" weather. Because he is so close, he is loud with the windows closed. We just want our sleep back.
Thanks,
Sandy

Answer
Sorry you don't enjoy this morning seranade, but it won't last too much longer. When he finds a mate the singing will slow down and eventually stop. There is no way to "relocate" him. Harassing birds is against the law and there is no legal exception unless serious health considerations exist. I find earplugs to be very useful in cases like this, which, as I said, are temporary.
