Birding/Peacock

Question
A beautiful India Blue Peacock has been at our home for 2 days. We've been unable to find his owner. (We'd like to keep him, he seems to like it here.) How far will a male wander? We don't know where he came from! We're assuming he possibly might be looking for a mate, but we're just guessing. We have free range chickens and other animals, and I thought he might have become lonely wherever he's from.
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Answer
Domestic peacocks can wander for miles, whether they are looking for a mate or food. You can certainly feed him but if you keep him restrained in a cage or elsewhere, you are most likely keeping someone else's property. If he hangs around of his own accord because are nice to him, that's fine.
