Question
yesterday my children "rescued" a baby robin, last night it was eating very well. I have been trying to feed it for a hour and it will not open it's mouth. until i can get it to a safe place, what do i do?
The best thing to do would be to put it in a little basket as close as possible to where it was found and the parents may feed it. It is cruel to feed a baby bird as it will bond to you and can never go back to the wild. If you insist on doing this you can pry the mouth open and feed earthworms. It will eat them.
