Birding/owls

Question

grace
do they blink?

Answer
Yes they do, and doubly so: they have eye-lids like humans do, but below these, they have another, thinner lid, called a nictitating membrane. What owls can't do is move their eyes within their sockets, thus they need to fully rotate their heads to look at things.
