Birding/wrens in the garage

Question
2 wrens started a nest in a hanging flower in my garage.  I caught then before they started (only a few pieces of nest material) so I moved the flower.  The next day they had started a nest in a box of plastic trash bags.  We can not keep our garage open. There is a window around the corner in the garage, but the wrens wouldn't find their way in and out would they? I love birds but I can't give them access 24 hrs to the nest. Can I take the nest and take it somewhere  outside where they will use it. Thanks for the help.

Answer
I know the feeling. A pair of Carolina Wrens came into my garage under a crack in the door and raised a family in one of our bicycle helmets. Put the flower pot up on something outside and put the nest in it and leave the window open. They will have to make do. Also Skeep the garage door closed during the day. Good luck.
