Birding/Pesky Robin

Question
We have a robin that starts chirping at 5:00 am every morning.  How do we get rid of it?  Would it help to mount an owl on our rooftop?

Answer
This is when many birds start to sing, and for many people it is a wonderful part of nature. Mockingbirds even sing at night. You are being honored by its presence, but if it really annoys you the owl might work. It will stop in a few weeks or less after the mating and nesting season. It is probably a male who is singing to announce his territory and to attract attention away from their nest.
