Question
my children found a baby dove outside they brought it in and we are trying to get it to where we can set it free. it already has lots of feathers. i have been researching what to do and am doing all that i know. he will not try to eat any bird seed all that i can get him to eat is slim fast or honey wheat bread soaked in warm water and stirred until real soupy. he is eating out of a dixie bathroom cup with a hole in the side. he is flying some but not enough to turn loose and he is starting to get use to us all i don't think that is good for we want to turn it loose when it is able.

Answer
The BEST thing to do is let him go immediately. He was being fed by his parents outside until you brought him in. Hopefully the parents are still around and will to feed him but he also will probably make it on his own. He will not survive on what you are feeding him. Please release him immediately. Thanks for your concern.
