Question Roger,
I would like to know the most efficient way to hang a bird feeder from a tree branch. I live on a salt water river and due to rats, my pest control company suggests I hang my feeders over the marsh, the only place I have to hang them is high on a limb and over the marsh. Rope does not work well because it binds on the branch, and the limbs are too high for me to hang a pulley.
Answer Well, I can't tell you how to hang it from a tree because I can't picture the exact circumstances. An alternative is to put it on a metal pole and put the pole in the ground. Rats can't climb metal poles well and you can also get a squirrel/rat guard to put on top of the pole under the feeder (basically a round collar).
