Question
I have swallow nests by my front door a baby fell out of the nest and I do not know how to care for it.  I have checked my area for rehabilatators and have found none.

Can you offer any advice?

Answer
You did the right thing by trying to find a bird rehab center. Young birds are VERY DIFFICULT to raise. Put the bird back in the nest if you possible can. That's the best answer. If you feel you must raise it yourself,go to www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for links to advice on raising baby birds. Your local pet shop or feed store might have a ground insect meal that the bird might eat. Thanks for your concern.
