Question
After the young birds have left the nest, should the nest, box, be cleaned out, and will the parents use the nest again? Also, will the young birds come back to nest where they were born?
Just scrape it out well with a putty knife. The same pair or another will use it. And often the young come back to the same area, and in most of the southern states (and recently some of the northern too) they stay around all year, but in the woods and more secluded places out of the wind.
