Question hello, i appreciate your time to answer my question. we have a robins nest that is built on a out door light .This is the second round of babys but we have not seen any action from the parents i think may ones gone but if the mother is abandoned or dead will the father take over or will they get adopted by another bird?I just fell sorry for them and want to find out what the best answer is and what to do is. Again i appreciate it, thanks a bunch
Answer If you are ABSOLUTELY sure that the nest is abandoned and there are live young inside, call your local wildlife rehab center or wildlife official for help or advice. Raising baby birds is VERY difficult if you have no experience.
The parents may still be around, so be patient in the meantime. Thanks for your concern.
