Question

geese
I want to know if this bird is swan goose or any other species. Please tell me its species if it is some other species. It was very calm, it let me come about 1 feet near. I shot the picture in Delhi, India but wikipedia's concerned webpage says it is not found in India. Please tell me if swan goose found in India.

Answer
It appears to be a domestic goose hybrid of a swan goose. I cannot say what other species it might be. There is a great deal of inbreeding among both wild and domestic geese, which leads to a number of physiological variations.

This duck is not indigenous to India.
