Question
Where does the Oklahoma Blue Bird go in the winter? I never see them during the winter months. Thanks. Cam

Answer
Most of them just go up to several hundred miles south where it is a bit warmer. However some of them stay in woods and brushy areas out of the wind where you rarely see them. Those get first dibs in the spring on the best territories, but sometimes die in a prolonged ice storm when they have nothing to eat.
