Birding/leaving the nest

Question
You will know by my questions that I am new to this. I was so excited when a pair of bluebirds chose a watering can hanging on my garden fence to build their nest and lay 4-5 eggs. I kept my eye on them for what seemed like forever. They all hatched. I checked on them 2-3 times within approximately 2 weeks. One day there was only 2 in the nest. I checked the ground but didn't find them. About 3 days later they were all gone. Do they ever get thrown out of the nest, how soon do they fly, and do they just fly away or do they hang around the nest for awhile.

Answer
It sounds as if they grew up and flew away. From hatching to fledging is only about 19 days. They never go back and the parents take them to a secluded place for a few days to give them some experience.
