Birding/Robin out of nest/storm

Question
We found a robin on the ground today after a big storm. It is not yet ready to leave nest.  Still pink on underbelly, body is just starting to get feathers. Can I put it under a likely tree in an old robin nest (those babies just left). Cant see the real nest anywhere. Thanks

Answer
Best thing to do is contact your local wildlife/bird rehab center. It appears that the storm blew it out of the nest. Putting it in a nest that is not the young birds will do no good. If you can find real nest, great. Temporarily you might put it in the other nest to see if a parent comes down to it; then you might see the parent go back to the original nest. Otherwise, call bird rehab or a local wildlife official. Thanks for your concern.
