Birding/Baby house finches! URGENT!

Question
Hello, my step dad shot two birds that turned out to be mother and father of a nest so we were wondering how to care for baby house finches and what to feed them?

Answer
Best thing to do is find a wildlife official or a bird or wildlife rehab center to take care of them. Baby birds are VERY hard to raise without experience. See http://www.wildcarebayarea.org/site/DocServer/otherrehabbers_correction_1-29-10.
You can also go to www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for advice.
What is your stepfather doing shooting songbirds anyway? Shooting them is against federal law.
