Question
I've found a bird an have it in a nice box with a pink towel. I think its wing is broken. its late and dark out and i don't know what type of bird it is. Do you know any specific classification tips so i could narrow down my search for this birds species??? Should i give it food? Its hurt should i let it go? Is it sick??

Answer
The best thing to do is call your local wildlife rehabilitation center or wildlife official. I have no idea if it is hurt or sick so you need someone with experience to give you advice. I can't tell you what kind of bird it is since there are nearly 800 species in North America. Meanwhile you can go to www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for advice on caring for injured birds.
