Birding/Hurt Wild Bird

Question
I found a wild bird in my yard.  My dog had it pinned in her mouth, but I think that a cat had gotten to it first.  It's wing looks pretty bad and I have no clue how to take care of it.  I don't even know if it will make it through the night.  Should I feed it?  What should I do?

Answer
Best thing to do is find someone who know how to take care of it, like your local wildlife rehabilitation center or wildlife official. If you can't do that, go to www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for information on how to take care of injured birds. But it is very difficult if you have no experience in this area. Thanks for your concern. Roger Lederer
