Birding/Robin nest in my grill

Question
This weekend, I turned on the gas and opened my grill to light it and found a robins nest with 3 eggs.  I turned off the gas quickly and put the lid down.  My question is, what, if anything, can I do?  I have a spare grill I can use.  Will the mother bird come back?  Did turning on the gas affect the nest?  How long do I have to wait till the birds fly away?

Answer
Sorry for the tardy response- Ý am out of the country. You probably know the answer to this by now. If the mother came back within a few hours, all ýs well. If not, see www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for more information on raising wild býrds. Roger Lederer
