Question
I am a fourth grader in Grandville,Michigan.  I am doing a research project on toucans and have some questions for you.  Hopefully you can answer them.

1.  What is the rarest toucan?  What is the most common?

2.  Will toucans harm humans?

3.  How high do toucans fly?

4.  Can toucans swim?

5.  I read in a book that in Brazil, people keep toucans as pets.  Why don't people in the United States keep them as pets?

Answer
Rarest - Choco Toucan; most common- Keel-Billed Toucan
Toucans will not harm humans. They don't fly very high, maybe 50 to 100 feet. They don't swim. People do keep Toucans as pets in the United States, but it is not a good thing to keep wild birds in cages. They belong in the wild. Roger Lederer at Ornithology.com
