Question
Hello,my aunt found a wild duckling today and gave it to me thinking i would know what to do with it since i have raised some ducks in the past.Only problem is i have no idea what type of duck it is,it fell out of a tree she said and i though maybe a wood duck but it is red and white, not brown and yellow. He has multiple dark red stripes around his eyes, red on top of head, very dark back with large white spots,a white belly and throat,a narrow bill like a wood ducks, and pinto feet.I am have trouble getting it to eat,it is in with a black suede that is doing well, and drinking. So far i have had to dropper water it.Any info would be much appreciated,Thanks.

Answer
I have a couple of questions as the answer is not immediately obvious to me. 1. Is your aunt sure the bird fell out of a tree? 2. Please describe the bill and feet in more detail. 3. If you can send a photo, that would be best. Send to rlederer@csuchico.edu Thanks
