In the den area of my house, I found white droppings all over one of the walls. It looks like someone took white out and dabbed it on the wall. At first I thought it might be a bat, but research on the few websites I looked at said that bat droppings were black and looked like rice. So far there has not been any other evidence to suggest anything else. Clearly though, it had to be some sort of animal that can fly because the droppings where not only on the wall but on the floor and on top of the tv...ect. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what animal would do this? To help you out, I live in North Carolina in the Piedmont region (if that helps any). Thank you for your time. One more thing, this all happened right beside where our dog sleeps and she didn't bark or anything during the night, which I found to be odd.
Sencerely,
Matt Strader
Answer In the house? Unusual. It sounds like some sort of small bird roosted for the evening in your house or just rested there after it got trapped inside. How could in get in? I don't know as I don't know your house, but small birds can get in small cracks, the chimney, etc. It's nothing to worry about. Roger Lederer at Ornithology.com
