Question
Could you please help me with a problem! I have a tree in front of my house where every night about 100+ birds come for the night. This has been occuring for the past two years. every morning I have to scrub the sidewalk with bleach do to bird droppings. I live in Detroit, Mi.

Thank You

Answer
You can try a fake owl in the tree or stips of mylar hanging in the tree. The only permanent solution, though, is to remove the tree. I suspect this only happens for a few weeks a year, though. Hosing the sidewalk should do the trick - bleaching every time probably isn't necessary. FOr more information on wild birds see www.ornithology.com. Roger Lederer
