Birding/Wren's Nest

Question
On my deck, in one of my hanging flowerpots, I have a Wren's nest.I accidentally distubed the nest to water my plant and the bird flew out. There are three eggs in the nest and I am so worried that she won't come back. I moistened the soil of the plant so that the babies will continue to have the safe coverage of the plant. Will she come back and if she does should I just leave the plant alone (to die) and hope that the nest is enough coverage from preditors?

Answer
She should come back. The bottom line is that nesting birds ae sensitive to disturbance; too much disturbance and she might abandon the nest/eggs. You don't need to worry about coverage from predators - the parents will take care of that. If you quickly water the plant each day everything should be ok.
