Question
Hi, A baby sparrow just hatched in my hand, I found it on the ground with it's nest next to it. It's shell partly broken, so now I have a new born sparrow in my hand. Can you advise me of what is the best action as in food, for something so tiny and young? Thanks.

Answer
Sorry for the tardy answer but  - computer problems, you know. Best thing to do is contact your local wildlife rehabilitation center or wildlife official for advice. Failing that, go to www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for links to advice. But if you are not experienced, it is VERY difficult to raise a baby bird.
