Birding/A crow is attacking my house

Question
Every morning a crow is attacking the front windows of my house. It flies right in to them and tries to peck them. It's a big bird and makes a lot of noise and could probably break a window. I thought it might be attacking it's own reflection but opening/closing blinds makes no difference. The sudden loud noise at irregular intervals is quite unnerving and the bird will probably hurt itself in the end. What can I do to discourage it?

Answer
You are correct. It is the reflection. Closing the blinds does not eliminate the reflection. Cover the window, soap it or do whatever you need to do to eliminate the reflection and problem will be solved. I seriously doubt that the crow can break the window, though, as they are big, but light. Roger Lederer at Ornithology.com
