Question our house hold[in atlanta georgia] has a humming bird feeder that is currently feeding several humming birds. my question is , do humming birds migrate , and if yes , is there a time of year to remove said feeder to insure that they do infact leave when they should
Answer Yes, hummingbirds do migrate, but it doesn't make any difference if the feeders are up or not; they will migrate at the appropriate time. Sometimes you hear that keeping feeders up will affect their migration patterns, but that is not true. Roger Lederer at Ornithology.com
