Question
I'm wondering if hummingbirds are scared away from a feeder where yellow jackets feast.

Answer
I have wasps, bumble bees, hornets, yellow jackets etc. all trying to get food from my hummingbird feeders. Sometimes I see a hummingbird back away from one but they come back. The biggest problem is bully hummingbirds guarding a feeder. I have put up three along the back of my house as one can't guard them all.
