Question
i found three birds that fell out of there nest and their eyes have not opened yet. A website said they were not even 10 days old yet, they have no feathers and are very small. i have been feeding them a mixture of dog food soaked in water, applesauce, and egg( a mixture i got from a website) They are eating from an eye dropped nicely, and going to the bathroom. However one of them seems constipated and is not having normal poop, it is watery and white, the other two have normal looking poop( from what the website showed). I am worried and I am not sure what to do, please help. please call me at 201-321-9748 with any info on what to do, or a place I could take them. Or email me. jackierose24@aol.com

Answer
Your best bet is to take them to a wildlife rehabilitation center. It is very difficult to raise young birds. If you don't know of one, call your local Audubon Society, Animal Control, or Fish and Wildlife for advice as to where to take them. Meanwhile, go to www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for advice on how to raise young birds. Roger Lederer
