Question
I recently visited a pet store and they have two birds there that they dont know what they are.  They are either a type of canary or finch.  They are about the size of a canary but they are green with some black and yellow, also with black beaks.  Do you know what tyope of birds these may be?

Answer
Dayna - my expertise is that of wild birds, not caged ones. There are so many versions of pet store birds, I can't even guess with your description. All I can say is that it is a shame that the pet store doesn't even know what they are selling. How can they treat these birds properly? Roger Lederer at Ornithology.com
