Question
Can button quails lay eggs even without males? I'm pretty sure they can but the eggs won't be fertilized, like the eggs of chickens when roosters aren't available. However, my mom won't believe me and I'd like to get some solid info from a so-called expert. Thus, please help me with this problem.

I found your question in the question pool this morning.  I don't know why it was not answered when you submitted it.

Yes, any female bird can lay infertile eggs without having mated with a male.

I've raised birds of all types for over 18 years...I think I qualify as a "so-called expert."

I`ve been raising/breeding/handfeeding/selling parrots for over 20 years (parakeets/budgies, cockatiels, 6 subspecies of conures, parrotlets, amazons, lovebirds, etc.).
