Birds--General/Indian Ringneck's droppings

Question
Hi. My ringneck has access to vegetables and fruit all day. Sometimes, I notice when he "goes to the toilet" that he only expels urine without feaces or only a very tiny amount of feaces but most is urine. He does not do this all the time. The bird seems otherwise healthy. I've only had him two weeks and I'm wondering if it may be due to stress or possibly from the fruit and veg....or could there be something seriously wrong with him?? Thankyou for any advice you may have to opffer. Kat

Answer
Hi, Kat,

I pulled your question from the question pool this morning.  Whomever you sent your original post to could not answer.

This could be due to stress from being moved, however, it could also be that your bird is consuming too much liquids either by drinking and/or from the fruit.  Most fruit is mainly water, so combine this with the water your bird drinks...could be too much liquid.  Veggies are much better than fruit.  Some fruit, such as melons, are nutritious, but again, most contain mainly water, so go easy on the fruit.
