Question
Does the bird mites spray tread the mites on love birds?   How can i prevent my love bird form getting mites?   will thebird live a normal life after been spray for mites

Answer
It should say if it is suitable for lovebirds on the bottle. You can prevent the birds from getting mites by cleaning and disinfecting the cage regularly and also dusting it with mite powder. He will live a normal life after being sprayed, and after his house has been treated. If you get into a proper routine of spraying and dusting his cage with mite powder he won't get them. Also give him a little spray with mite spray every two months.

I can give advice on all aspects of basic chicken care but I breed chickens for my own pleasure only, I do not often show or sell my birds.

Experience

I own and breed a wide range of chickens, but I speciallise in cochins and crevecour bantams; crevecours have a large crest (an afro!) so I can answer questions on problems concerning them; cochins have feathered legs, which leads to no end of problems which I have experienced! I also own a large flock of domestic, rescued 'battery' hens, and a single maran hen, Hilda, who is the matriarch of her flock, so I can give advice on how to get the best colour of maran eggs!
