Birds--General/Parakeet

Question
To whom this my concern:
I think my parakeet may have a tumor. On Monday I notice a brown hard spot on the top of her head right above her beak. I  pick her up and felt it with my finger and it felt really hard, she's been eating but not as much as normal. Because I work during the day it's hard to tell if she's been active as normal. How can I tell if it's a tumor?

Answer
You really just need to take her for a vet visit!

Perhaps there is vet who can answer pet questions here on AllExperts as well.

I don't really know, as I'm not a veterinarian, and there are many types of tumors that birds can be subject to; some are cancerous and many are not and I wouldn't want to lead you astray.
