Question
bird has an abrasion on top of breast just under wing that runs along the entire underside of wing.  Has lost feathers in these areas with black muck %26 onset of maggots or some kind of larvae.  There is lump or possible swelling on the breast, can perch but is a bit off balance.  Washed with diluted dettol %26 applied manuka honey.  Bird eating, drinking %26 squawking dusk %26 dawn.  What's the best way to address wound.

Answer
Well, it certainly sounds like he has quite a wound, that would be best treated by a veterinarian.

I would wash the wound thoroughly with mild soapy water, and then rinse well under running water. Nest treat with 3% hydrogen peroxide, and then cover the wounded area with 50/50 honey and aloe vera. (Natural aloe vera strait from the plant works the best, but a 100% aloe vera gel from the store works too.)

I would cleanse the wound 3-4 times a day.

Hope this helps!

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I lost my cable and internet connection for a couple of days and with Thanksgiving I couldn't get someone out here to fix it right away.

Blessings,
