Question
i have 4 pairs of finches,about every month i find one egg at the bottom of the cage empty, this time it was broken with a chic inside, why does this happen and what can i do ?.

It may be that the nest box, or nest site is not secure enough. Make sure it is secure and eggs will not easily fall out of it. It also may be that something is happening to make one of the parents not want the egg in the nest, are there other birds in the cage, do you handle the eggs at all?
