Question
I have 3 parakeets, 2 males one female. she recently laid an egg and i was wondering if i should remove the male that is not the father?

Thanks for any info. I don't want anything to happen to the egg or the baby when and if it hatches.

Thanks Jackie

Answer
Most of the time other parakeets in the cage is not a problem. I would take him out when the eggs first hatch, and keep him in a cage next to the cage with the other parakeets, and then let him into the cage with the chicks and the parents while you will be home to supervise for a few hours to make sure they will all get along.

Blessings,
marie
