Question
Can we feed baby lovebirds cooked cream of wheat and how often?

Answer
Hi, No-Name,

You haven't provided enough information about the baby lovebirds in order to provide an adequate response.  Additional information I would need at a minimum:  How old are these baby lovebirds?  Are you syringe feeding them?  Are you handfeeding them 100% or are the parent birds feeding them also?  How much experience do you have with parrots and handfeeding babies?  What type of handfeeding formula are you using?

Cooked cream of wheat can  be fed, if it's fed at the correct consistency and temperature, but it cannot be the only food fed to baby parrots.  More information is needed from you about the babies before more information can be provided.

Expertise

I`ve been raising/breeding/handfeeding/selling parrots for over 20 years (parakeets/budgies, cockatiels, 6 subspecies of conures, parrotlets, amazons, lovebirds, etc.). I've been published in "Budgies" and "Cockatiels" offered by Bow Tie Productions, and have written avian articles for publication in England. I can provide advice in raising healthy birds, handfeeding/weaning babies, some health problems (although I'm NOT an avian veterinarian), nail/beak/wing clipping, general husbandry, etc. I also have experience with racing/showing homing pigeons. I cannot diagnose specific illness over this website. If you suspect your bird is ill or if you have an emergency, contact an avian veterinarian or emergency pet clinic ASAP.
