Question
My pair of lovebirds laid an egg outside of the nesting box !!! What should i do with that egg? How long does it take for a egg to hatch? I put shredded paper outside of the nesting box for her to put the egg there to try & sit on it. Totally confused what to do now.

Answer
Perhaps they don't like the box you provided. Sounds like you expect the birds to move the egg onto the paper. They can't move their eggs very easily so that won't happen. Put the egg in the next box on shredded paper. Incubation period is 23 days after incubation starts. But don't be surprised if they don't incubate; in that case, just throw the egg out.
