Birds--General/Turtle dove with lumps around beak and eyes

Question
Dove
Dove
Hi
We rescued a baby dove from our cat and raised it succesfully. It is still very small though. Recently it developed a creamy yellow coloured lump under its eye. Within two days the lump has multipied and now occur around both eyes and the beak.
Can you help us identify what they are? And how do we treat them? Unfortunately the vet is not an option.
I have attached a photos of the lumps, hope it helps.
Thanks so much.

Answer
Without close examination or lab tests, I don't know the exact cause. It's clearly some sort of infection of bacteria or fungus, perhaps due to the cat's bite. The crusty and moist lumps are apparently pus - a result of some sort of infection. Most likely antibiotic treatment is called for. I can't tell you what antibiotics to use or the proper dose as I am not a vet.I don't know why the vet is not an option, but I suspect that without professional veterinary care the bird will die.
