Question
Hi there, I found a baby dove outside in our driveway in the sun. I couldn't just leave it there, although he has feathers it seems like he can't fly. My concern is that I'm 38 weeks pregnant so will it be harmfull to my baby if i keep feeding the baby dove?

Answer
The best thing to have done is to leave it alone. It was probably waiting for its parents to feed it. Put it back where you found it and see if the parents come around. If they do not, then give the bird to a bird rehab center or try to raise it yourself with information from www.ornithology.com/rehab.html. No, the bird will not cause you or the baby any health problems, but wash your hands after touching it as a precaution.
