Question
Today she started to act unlike herself.  She is very quite, staying in back of her cage and is making a sound like she has something stuck in her throat.  She is drinking her water, the cage is clean and she does have fresh food.

I picked your question up from the question pool.

You haven't provided enough information about the situation.  How old is the bird, does she have a mate, what type of diet, etc., etc.?  If you are concerned she might be ill, you know your bird better than anyone else does.  If you think she might be sick, she probably is, therefore, you need to have her seen by a certified avian vet for a medical evaluation.

I`ve been raising/breeding/handfeeding/selling parrots for over 20 years (parakeets/budgies, cockatiels, 6 subspecies of conures, parrotlets, amazons, lovebirds, etc.).
