Question
I have 2 lovbirds that have recently laid an egg (yesterday) but no more yet she was sitting on the egg yesterday but not as much/at all today would this be becasue i was checking up on them too much?

Hi, Fred.  Thanks for posting.

Lovebirds normally lay 1 egg every other day until they have a full clutch of about 6 (give or take 1 or 2 eggs).  Most don't start incubating until the second egg is laid...some when the first is laid, depending on the individual bird.  Therefore, your "intrusion" isn't the reason why she isn't incubating.

I`ve been raising/breeding/handfeeding/selling parrots for over 20 years (parakeets/budgies, cockatiels, 6 subspecies of conures, parrotlets, amazons, lovebirds, etc.).
