Question
i have a male budgie of 2yrs now and was lookin 2 put a female budgie in the same cage i was just wondering would that ok? and will there be any problems with each other? thanx

Hi, Brenda,

It depends on the personalities of the individual birds involved.  You really should quarantine any new birds for at least 30 days just in case the new bird could be sick.  Then set the 2 birds side-by-side in separate cages so they can get used to each other.  Allow them to come outside their cages togethe to see how they get along.  If all's well, then put them together in a cage.

I`ve been raising/breeding/handfeeding/selling parrots for over 20 years (parakeets/budgies, cockatiels, 6 subspecies of conures, parrotlets, amazons, lovebirds, etc.).
