Birds--General/formula

Question
Hi, I have been using Kaytee Exact. Every few years there seems to be a change in consistency, I must be going nuts. I hear of these formulas that are CREAMY and SMOOTH!  Could you please recommend a good formula.
Thanks,
Trish

Answer
Hi, Trish.  Thanks for posting!

I've used Kaytee Exact for many, many years, and I've never noticed any change in consistency of this product.  Exact is creamy and smooth.  Perhaps you aren't mixing it properly.

I recommend Kaytee Exact!  I've had the best experience with this product over other products, i.e., my baby birds are very healthy, strong, and well nourished using Exact.

Expertise

I`ve been raising/breeding/handfeeding/selling parrots for over 20 years (parakeets/budgies, cockatiels, 6 subspecies of conures, parrotlets, amazons, lovebirds, etc.). I've been published in "Budgies" and "Cockatiels" offered by Bow Tie Productions, and have written avian articles for publication in England. I can provide advice in raising healthy birds, handfeeding/weaning babies, some health problems (although I'm NOT an avian veterinarian), nail/beak/wing clipping, general husbandry, etc. I also have experience with racing/showing homing pigeons. I cannot diagnose specific illness over this website. If you suspect your bird is ill or if you have an emergency, contact an avian veterinarian or emergency pet clinic ASAP.
